Bible study and faith resources at Warburg Alliance Church

Resources for Every Stage of Faith

Whether you are just beginning to explore Christianity or have been following Jesus for decades, there is always more to discover. The resources on this page are curated to help you engage with Scripture, deepen your prayer life, and grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.

We believe that spiritual growth happens in community — through worship, relationships, and the Word of God. These resources are designed to support that growth both individually and alongside others in our congregation.

If you have questions about any of these materials or would like a personal recommendation, our pastoral team is always glad to connect with you.

Bible Reading & Study

The Word of God is the foundation of our faith — rich, inexhaustible, and life-changing.

Daily Bible Reading Plans

Consistent daily reading is one of the most transformative spiritual habits available to any believer. We recommend beginning with the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) for those new to Scripture, and the Psalms for a devotional starting point.

Ask our office for printed reading plans.

Inductive Bible Study Method

The inductive method — observe, interpret, apply — is a powerful approach to understanding Scripture in its context. Our pastoral team teaches this method in small group settings throughout the year.

Journaling Your Faith

Writing down what you are reading, learning, and praying is a powerful practice for growing self-awareness and spiritual depth. We offer guided journaling resources for individuals and small groups.

Available through our church office.

Prayer Guides & Practices

Prayer is conversation with God — these resources help make it a daily reality.

The Lord's Prayer as a Framework

Jesus gave us a model for prayer that covers adoration, submission, intercession, and dependence. Using the Lord's Prayer as a daily guide is a rich and accessible way to pray with intention and depth.

Prayer Request Cards

Available at the back of the sanctuary, prayer request cards allow you to submit a request confidentially to our prayer team. Your needs are prayed over weekly by dedicated intercessors in our congregation.

Monthly Prayer Focus

Each month, our pastoral team releases a congregational prayer focus — a theme, a Scripture, and specific prayer points to help our congregation pray in unity for our church, our community, and the world.

Recommended Books

A curated selection of books that have shaped our congregation's thinking and faith.

Knowing God

J.I. Packer

A modern classic of evangelical Christianity — a deep, accessible, and profoundly encouraging exploration of what it means to know God personally and truly.

Mere Christianity

C.S. Lewis

One of the most persuasive defences of the Christian faith ever written — ideal for those exploring Christianity for the first time or wishing to understand its intellectual foundations.

The Pursuit of God

A.W. Tozer

A devotional classic from a writer deeply shaped by the Alliance tradition — a passionate call to seek God with our whole hearts and not settle for a merely formal faith.
