Our Mission

The calling that shapes everything we are and everything we do as a congregation.

To Know Jesus Christ and to Make Him Known

We exist to help every person in our community discover a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ — and to grow as faithful disciples who love God, love people, and serve with joy.

Our Mission, Unpacked

Three dimensions of our calling that shape how we live, worship, and serve.

People gathered for worship and prayer

Know God

Mission begins with encounter. We pursue a deep, personal, growing knowledge of God through His Word, through prayer, through worship, and through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. Everything we do flows from the reality of a God who is known and loved.

Community members serving together

Grow Together

We were never meant to follow Jesus alone. Discipleship happens in community — through small groups, mentoring relationships, shared meals, and honest conversations. We are committed to growing together as a congregation that sharpens and encourages one another in faith.

Outreach and service in the community

Reach Outward

The good news of Jesus is too great to keep to ourselves. We are called to share it — through words and deeds, through relationships and acts of service, in Warburg and in the world. Mission is not an optional extra; it is central to who we are.

The Great Commandment & the Great Commission

Our mission draws from two foundational commands of Jesus Christ — the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. Together, they describe a church that loves deeply and reaches widely.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself."
— Matthew 22:37–39 (NIV) — the Great Commandment
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
— Matthew 28:19–20 (NIV) — the Great Commission

How We Live Our Mission

Our mission is not merely a statement on paper — it is expressed in the everyday rhythms of our congregation. On Sunday mornings, we gather to encounter God in worship and in the teaching of His Word. Through the week, small groups, serving teams, and personal conversations carry that encounter into daily life.

Locally, we seek to love our neighbours practically — meeting needs, building relationships, and demonstrating the kindness of God to those around us. Globally, through our partnership with the C&MA, we participate in church planting and mission work in some of the most underserved communities on earth.

We believe that a church alive to its mission becomes a place of magnetic grace — one that draws people not by programming, but by the authentic love and joy of people who have genuinely been transformed by Jesus Christ.
